En route pour l'Arizona, nous nous sommes arrêtés au Cattleman's Steakhouse à Fabens au Texas. C’est un superbe beau restaurant sur un grand ranch où l'on y trouve un mini zoo avec des animaux de toutes sortes. C'est un restaurant très populaire même au milieu de la semaine. Nous avons soupé avec Jacques et Joanne, de nouvelles connaissances du Québec. Plusieurs films ont été produits à cet endroit. Ici nous avons vu d'immenses dunes de beau sable blanc. Nous avons aussi visité le New Mexico Space Museum qui est tout près. Le lendemain matin, nous avons été forcés avec tous les autres véhicules d'attendre 40 minutes sur la route, car il y avait un lancement de missile de la base militaire avoisinante. Pendant notre séjour à Tucson AZ, nous avons visité le PIMA Air and Space Museum, où l'on y trouve une immense collection d'avions militaires et autres. Nous sommes aussi allés au Kitt Peak National Observatory et le Titan Missile Museum. C'est ici que se cachait un site de missile nucléaire pendant la guerre froide. Danielle a même été en contrôle du lancement imaginaire du missile nucléaire. Toutes les photos du voyage sont ici.

On our way to Arizona, we stopped at the Cattleman's Steakhouse in Fabens, Texas. It is a beautiful restaurant on a large ranch where you will find a mini zoo with animals of all kinds. This is a very popular restaurant even in the middle of the week. We had dinner with Jacques and Joanne, new acquaintances from Québec. Several films have been produced here. Here we saw huge dunes of fine white sand. We also visited the New Mexico Space Museum nearby. The next morning we were forced with all the other vehicles to wait 40 minutes on the road because there was a missile launch from the nearby military base. During our stay in Tucson AZ, we visited the PIMA Air andSpace Museum, where there is a huge collection of military and other aircrafts. We also went to the Kitt Peak National Observatory and the Titan MissileMuseum. It was here that a nuclear missile site was hidden during the Cold War. Danielle was even in control of the imaginary launch of the nuclear missile. All the photos from the trip are here.
